John L. Landis, Jr., 70, of Buckhannon’s Tennerton Community, died on September 3, 2026, at JW Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown. He was a retired coal miner and UMWA member.

Voris Arnold Hawkins, 64, of Buckhannon, WV, died at his home on August 30, 2026. A dedicated family man and oil field worker, he was a volunteer firefighter and avid outdoorsman.

Katherine Anderson, 76, born in Johnstown, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully at home on August 25, 2026. A devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, she leaves a legacy of love, faith, kindness, and compassion.

Christine Ann Kalafat, formerly of Buckhannon and most recently of Bridgeport, WV, passed away after suffering from a series of strokes and other ailments. She was a devoted mother and grandmother remembered for her broad smile, sharp wit, and spirited personality.

Stephen David Randall, 77, of Buckhannon, passed away on August 20, 2026. A sailor, entrepreneur, and devoted family man, he lived with curiosity, adventure, and generosity.

Terry Lee Higgins, 78, of Buckhannon, WV, died on August 21, 2026, at WV Caring Hospice Center in Elkins. He was a coal mine electrician, heavy equipment operator, horse enthusiast, and devoted family man.

Loyle Thomas “Tom” Smith, Jr., 67, of Buckhannon, passed away on August 22, 2026, at J.W. Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and accomplished mechanic.

Pamela Gayle Allender, 70, of the Lick Run Community, passed away unexpectedly at her home on August 22, 2026. A former CNA, she enjoyed reading, watching TV, and shopping on Amazon.

Barbara W. Wikoff, 88, of Buckhannon, WV, died at her home on July 30, 2026. She attended Morris Harvey College and is remembered by her surviving family.

Janice J. Lantz, 91, of Roanoke, WV, died on August 17, 2026, at Stonewall Jackson Memorial Hospital in Weston. A former mail carrier and Tupperware consultant, she cherished her large family and never met a stranger.
