Mary Frances Winans, 83, of Bailey Ridge, Buckhannon, died on June 30, 2026. She retired after 45 years at Chase Bank and was a devoted member of Tennerton United Methodist Church.

Charles Edward “Chuck” Reed, 79, of French Creek, died June 28, 2026, at Davis Medical Center in Elkins, WV. He retired from Ford Motor Company and was known for his generosity and friendship.

Donald Eugene Linger, Jr., 61, of French Creek, died on June 28, 2026, at the home of his daughter, Rebecca Kittle. He was an auto mechanic for over 30 years and enjoyed drawing and spending time outdoors.

Karen Louise Hinkle, 83, of Clarksburg, WV, passed away on June 26, 2026, at J. W. Ruby Memorial Hospital. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother who was active in her community and church.

Zelma Lewis Gibson, 86, of Rock Cave, passed away on June 23, 2026. A longtime employee of Rock Cave IGA and the Rock Cave Post Office, she was known for her kindness, faith, and love of reading.

Samuel Lee Hamner, infant son of Derreck and Megan Arnold Hamner of Buckhannon, WV, was born and passed away on June 20, 2026, at WVU Medicine J.W. Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown, WV.

Everett E. “Sonny” Propst, 95, of Buckhannon, WV, died June 21, 2026, at his home. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran and a member of numerous civic and fraternal organizations.

Stephanie Jo Casada Snapp, 43, of Kingsport, TN, died on June 16, 2026, at UT Medical Center in Knoxville. She was a longtime employee of McCoy’s Salvage Grocery and loved spending time with her grandchildren.

Larry David Brown, 75, of Buckhannon, WV, died at home on June 19, 2026. He worked in coal mine construction, attended Mt. Lebanon United Methodist Church, and enjoyed bluegrass music and riding his Harley.

Mary Ellen Davidson, 83, of Buckhannon, WV, died April 3, 2026, at Crestview Manor in Jane Lew. She was a psychiatric nurse, church member, and musician. A memorial service will be held June 27, 2026.

Ronald “Ron” Burwell, 60, passed away on June 19, 2026, at the Pittsburgh Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He was an Air Force veteran and will be remembered for his family, service, and love of cars.

John Jay Black, 78, of Buckhannon, WV, died June 19, 2026, at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Buckhannon. He was a retired truck driver and heavy equipment operator, and a member of Sand Run Baptist Church.
