Andy Ray Gould, 42, of Buckhannon, WV, passed away on February 7, 2026, at his home. He was a devoted father, loved his dogs, and enjoyed fishing and vehicle reconstruction.

Angela Frances Alfred, 84, passed away on February 9, 2026. A lifelong Christian and retired pharmacy technician, she will be deeply missed and forever remembered by her family and all who knew her.

Paula Gay Carver, 62, of Rock Cave, passed away peacefully on February 9, 2026, at St. Joseph’s Hospital following an extended illness. She is survived by her husband, children, grandchildren, and extended family.

Kenneth Charles Booth, 85, of Buckhannon, WV, died February 10, 2026, at his home. He was a Southern States Co-Op supervisor and a member of Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church.

Mildred Jane White, 95, of Buckhannon, WV, died on February 6, 2026, at Genesis Healthcare Salem Center in Salem, WV. She was a Moore Business Forms order processor and a member of Sand Run Baptist Church.

Charles James Poundstone Jr., 68, of Buckhannon, WV, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, storyteller and outdoorsman, passed away January 12, 2026, and will be remembered for his warmth, generosity and love of family.

Neil Eugene White, 85, of Buckhannon, WV, passed away on February 4, 2026, at home surrounded by family. He was a proud U.S. Marine veteran, devoted to his faith, and cherished by his loved ones.

Melvin Lee Beckner, 63, of Buckhannon, WV, died unexpectedly on January 30, 2026, at his home. He was a retired truck driver and skilled mechanic who loved Ford cars, especially his Mustang.

Vickie Ann Walton, 71, of Buckhannon passed away February 2, 2026, at Cortland Acres Nursing Home. A retired Washington District Elementary educator and Tennerton Lions Club member, she is survived by her children, grandchildren, and brother; services are Feb. 5.

Wesley Ed Howard, 93, died January 30, 2026, at home in Hinkleville, where he’d lived since childhood. A sharp-witted family man and outdoorsman, he served in Korea, earned a WVU degree, and built Buckhannon’s Southern States through his famous “buy, sell, or trade” style.

Lucille Virginia Brooks, 99, of the Lick Run community in Buckhannon, died February 1, 2026, at St. Joseph’s Hospital.
