WVU Medicine St. Joseph’s Hospital is proud to announce that two of its team members have recently been recognized by the West Virginia Hospital Association (WVHA) Leadership Academy — a prestigious program dedicated to developing future healthcare leaders across the state.

Paula Cutright, Executive Assistant to the President & CEO and Director of the St. Joseph’s Hospital Foundation, has officially graduated as part of the WVHA Leadership Academy Class of 2025. With a deep commitment to the mission and vision of the hospital, Paula’s graduation from the program is a testament to her leadership, dedication, and continued service to both our hospital and the wider healthcare community.

Additionally, Matthew Scott, Director of Marketing and Public Relations, has been selected as a member of the WVHA Leadership Academy Class of 2026. With a passion for community engagement and strategic communications, Matthew will now join a network of professionals from across the state working to shape the future of healthcare leadership in West Virginia.

The WVHA Leadership Academy is designed to equip healthcare professionals with the skills and insights necessary to lead in today’s evolving healthcare environment. Participants engage in a yearlong curriculum of workshops, mentorship, and real-world projects that foster personal growth and organizational excellence.

“We are incredibly proud of both Paula and Matthew for their dedication to leadership development,” said Skip Gjolberg, President and CEO of WVU Medicine St. Joseph’s Hospital. “Paula’s graduation is a reflection of her commitment to excellence and service.
