Wesleyan men’s and women’s tennis teams selected for regional play

MEN

The West Virginia Wesleyan College men’s tennis team has been selected to play in the NCAA Division II Atlantic Region 1 preliminary round. As the No. 5 seed, the Bobcats will play against No. 4 seed Davis & Elkins College on Monday, May 11 at noon. The University of Charleston will host the Atlantic Region 1 matches.
 
The NCAA Division II Men’s and Women’s Tennis Committee selected the 48 teams that will be participating in the 2026 NCAA Division II Men’s Tennis Championship. Preliminary rounds will be played May 11-12 at sixteen regional sites. The winning team from each site will advance to the finals, May 20-24, in Surprise, Arizona. Pacific West Conference and the City of Surprise will serve as hosts.

WOMEN

The West Virginia Wesleyan College women’s tennis team has been selected to play in the NCAA Division II Atlantic Region 1 preliminary round. This is the first time since 2010 that the Lady Bobcats have made post-season regional play. As the No. 5 seed, the Lady Bobcats will play against No. 4 seed Fairmont State University on Friday, May 8 at noon. Slippery Rock University will host the Atlantic Region 1 matches.
