The Charles W. Gibson Public Library will close to the public starting March 20

Beginning Friday, March 20, 2020, the Charles W. Gibson Public Library will be closed to the public to ensure the safety of our community and employees during the COVID-19 (Coronavirus) situation.  This closure will be in effect until further notice.  In three weeks’ time, we will reassess the situation and make a determination about when we will be able to reopen.

During this time, we encourage patrons to explore our online reading options from wvreads.overdrive.lib.wv.us. Beginning Tuesday, March 24th, patrons with questions can contact the librarian Monday-Friday 9:00-5:00 and receive assistance.

For the duration of this crisis, the Gibson Library will not be not charging fines for overdue. Books can be returned in the book drop in front of our building or the Upshur County Public Library.  We thank you for your patience during this difficult time.

Please keep checking our website charlesgibson.lib.wv.us, or the city of Buckhannon website for updates.
