Basketball Lady Bucs hold off Preston for 49-43 victory

Buckhannon-Upshur survived a wild swing to beat Preston 49-43, building a 33-17 halftime lead before the Knights stormed back to tie it after three. The Lady Bucs got tough late, cashing key free throws and forcing 20 turnovers as Emma Pingley led with 18.

West Virginia Wesleyan was picked second in the 2026 Mountain East Conference men’s tennis preseason poll behind University of Charleston, which received six of seven first-place votes.
