Danny Joe Webster, 76, passed peacefully into God’s hands on July 22, 2026.
Danny was born and raised in Buckhannon, West Virginia. In the late 1980s, he relocated to Colorado Springs, Colorado, where he lived for 31 years before returning to his hometown of Buckhannon in 2019. Those who knew Danny often shared stories of his adventurous spirit and his ability to truly enjoy life. He had an infectious laugh that could brighten any room and loved to whistle—a simple habit that family and friends will always remember. He lived freely, treasured time with family and friends, and created memories that will be cherished for generations.
Danny proudly served his country in the United States Air Force for 13 years. Following his military service, he worked in the construction industry for many years until health challenges no longer allowed him to continue doing the work he loved.
Danny found joy in life’s simple pleasures. He loved spending time fishing, watching NASCAR—especially cheering for Dale Earnhardt—and faithfully supporting his beloved Pittsburgh Steelers. He was also a devoted Chicago Cubs fan, with the Colorado Rockies being a close second, and proudly cheered on the West Virginia Mountaineers. Whether he was near the water, watching a race, cheering on the Steelers, following his favorite baseball teams, or rooting for the Mountaineers, these were the things that brought him happiness. He also had a deep love for his dogs, who provided him with companionship, comfort, and countless happy memories throughout his life.
He is lovingly survived by his daughters, Danielle (Nikki) Torrez and daughter-in-law, Mary Jane Torrez, of Buckhannon, West Virginia, and Mandy Lynette Weikal and her husband, Brian Weikal, of Colorado Springs, Colorado.
He is also survived by his brother, Malcolm Webster, and sister-in-law, Diane Webster, of Philippi, West Virginia, along with many beloved nieces and nephews.
Danny was a proud grandfather to Raigan Webster, Ethan Torrez, and Avery Torrez, all of Buckhannon, West Virginia, and Autumn Weikal, Leeann Weikal, Brianna Weikal, and Brooke Weikal, all of Colorado Springs, Colorado. He is also survived by two great-grandchildren, Matix and Lynlee, and another great-grandchild expected in December 2026.
Danny was preceded in death by his father, Herbert Alton Webster; his mother, Kathleen Grace (Crigler) Webster; his brother, Larry Elliott Webster; and his sister, Patricia Joan (Webster) Wamsley.
Although our hearts are heavy with loss, we find comfort in knowing that Danny’s life was well lived and that his memory will remain with us always.
In honoring Danny’s wishes, cremation will take place following the visitation.
Family and friends are invited to celebrate Danny’s life and pay their respects during a visitation on Tuesday, July 28, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Clutter Funeral & Cremation, 21 Elnora Circle, Buckhannon, WV 26201.
