Buckhannon Waste Collection Department accepting applications for laborer/truck driver

The City of Buckhannon Waste Collection Department is accepting applications through May 19, 2026, for the following position: one full-time laborer/truck driver.

Benefits include health insurance and participation in the Public Employee Retirement System.

Candidates must:

  • Be 18 years of age or older.
  • Possess a valid West Virginia Class B commercial driver’s license.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Be in good physical condition. This job includes, but is not limited to, lifting up to 50 pounds and climbing.
  • Be self-motivated and able to stay on task and on time.
  • Be able and willing to drive and work in inclement weather.

Eligible candidates will be subject to a background check and drug test.
