Alda Sandy, age 91, of Buckhannon, died Saturday, February 10, 2024, at Holbrook Healthcare Center in Buckhannon, where she had resided for the past year. 

She was born on July 25, 1932, in Mount Clare, WV, a daughter of the late William Mif and Dottie Hazel Tomey Sandy.  In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by three brothers:  Lee, Waitman, and Perry Sandy; and two sisters-in-law:  Susie Sandy and Nellie Sandy.  She is survived by one niece, two nephews, and several great nieces and nephews.

Alda enjoyed gardening and working sudoku and wordsearch puzzles.

The body will be cremated.
