BUCKHANNON, W.Va. – St. Joseph’s Hospital in Buckhannon will be celebrating its 100^th anniversary in 2021 and is asking the community to help by sharing any memorabilia they may have. The hospital is looking for pictures, postcards and souvenirs as well as any written memories or stories about the hospital and its history. Buckhannon-Upshur High School will induct six honorees into its Athletic Hall of Fame on Oct. 3 at 6 p.m. in the high school commons. Tickets are $20 and include dinner and the ceremony; purchase them through the athletic department or event organizers.

WVU mobile lung cancer screening unit to visit Buckhannon, Bridgeport, Huntington and Cedar Grove in October

LUCAS will offer low-dose CT lung cancer screenings Oct. 20-24 in Huntington, Cedar Grove, Buckhannon and Bridgeport. Appointments must be made at least 14 days ahead, and eligible uninsured West Virginians may receive screenings through grant funding.
