St. Joseph’s Hospital honors Jennifer Bunner with VIP award

BUCKHANNON, W.Va. — St. Joseph’s Hospital recently honored Jennifer Bunner with the Values Inspired Person (VIP) Award.  Jennifer works as an LPN for the Medical Surgical department in the hospital.

Jennifer’s co-workers say that she is compassionate towards all patients, and respects the dignity of each person by identifying their unique needs and catering to those needs. Jennifer consistently shows up with a smile and a willingness to go above and beyond. As an example, she recently used her personal cell phone to play music for a patient who was anxious. She also picks up shifts as a CNA when needed to ensure that all patients are cared for properly. She is never too busy to assist another co-worker.

Jennifer demonstrates St. Joseph’s Christ values on a daily basis; there is no doubt that patients see, feel, and experience the love of Christ when she is caring for them-an award well-deserved!

The VIP Award is given bi-monthly to those who demonstrate the Christ values of the hospital: Compassion, Hospitality, Reverence, Interdependence, Stewardship and Trust.
