Source water protection meeting set for Sept. 6

The Little Lady Bucs earned a 2–0 road win at Bridgeport before falling to East Fairmont and Taylor County in a demanding three-game stretch. B-UMS stands at 2–2 overall as the team looks to regain momentum.

The Little Bucs bounced back from a loss at Liberty with a dominant 40-8 win over Elkins, improving to 3-1 at midseason. Buckhannon-Upshur Middle piled up 308 rushing yards and six touchdowns, led by Kyler Baisden’s 135 yards.

Buckhannon-Upshur’s four-game unbeaten streak ended with a 1-0 road loss to Fairmont Senior after a third-minute goal. The Bucs pressed for an equalizer but couldn’t finish, with tough home tests against Bridgeport and Cabell Midland up next.

Outdoor burning is prohibited from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. during West Virginia’s fall fire season, October 1 through December 31. Fires must be fully extinguished before 7 a.m.
