ROANOKE, W. Va. – The 2026 Mountain East Conference Men’s Golf Championship concluded the third and final round of play Tuesday at the Palmer Course at the Stonewall Resort in Roanoke, West Virginia. 

Glenville State claimed the 2026 Mountain East Conference Men’s Golf Championship title after tallying round scores of +3, +7 and +4 to finish with a total score of 878 (+14).

Glenville State’s junior Fermin Perez Santandrea was named the 2026 MEC Men’s Golfer of the Year after finishing first overall with a final score of 209 (-7) following rounds of -1, E and -6.

Wheeling’s freshman Cormac Pearson was honored as the 2026 MEC Men’s Golf Freshman of the Year, finishing third overall with a total score of 219 (+3). Pearson had round scores of -1, +2 and +2.

Perez Santandrea and Pearson were named to the All-MEC First Team, along with Glenville State’s sophomore Daiki Aiura, West Liberty’s seniors Justin Doerr and Ethan Cook, Wheeling’s graduate student Sean Dobson and Davis & Elkin’s Justin Charlebois.

The MEC Coach of the Year will be voted on by the league coaches in April.
