The 2026 Strawberry Festival is just days away, and organizers say excitement and registrations are at record highs. New entertainment has been added on Main Street and at Jawbone Park, alongside a bigger parade and expanded family fun night.
Buckhannon’s Consolidated Public Works Board voted to reword its worn ‘no smoking’ signs before the Strawberry Festival to feature gentler messaging that focuses on being considerate to others. Smoking and vaping in public areas during the festival have been illegal since 2013.
