Lisa Cain Edward Jones takes over first place in Bob Cupp Memorial Golf League standings

TENNERTON – Following three straight weeks of rain delays, the Buckhannon Country Club Bob Cupp Memorial Golf League was back in action Wednesday.

Barely missing the raindrops, Lisa Cain Edward Jones propelled themselves into first place after a 26-14 win over Hank Ellis Insurance. Lisa Cain Edward Jones now has 68 points.

Sunset Graphics moved into second place with 65 points after a 23-17 victory over Highland Landscaping.

First Community Bank and Feola’s Flowers are tied for third place with 64 ½ points.

First Community Bank defeated Sam’s Pizza by a 22-18 score, while Feola’s Flowers picked up a 24-16 win over Custom Cabinets.

In the other match of the week, High Point Construction downed Lynx WV, 22-18.

Stephen Jeran of Sam’s Pizza and Bobby Gompers of Highland Landscaping tied for Low Actual honors with 38s.

Gompers took home Low Net honors with a 31.
