  • Curbside recycling pickup begins at 6:00 a.m. Pickup occurs within the Buckhannon city limits. Information about recycling can be found on the city’s website at buckhannonwv.org/residents/recycling/, at City Hall, or by calling the Recycling Center or Upshur County Solid Waste Authority at (304) 472-4443.

Reminders

  • Sunday, March 8 – Daylight Saving Time begins at 2:00 a.m., when clocks spring forward one hour to 3:00 a.m.
  • Trash can placement: Trash cans must be hidden from public view as much as possible during the week. Place them at the curb the night before collection and return them within 24 hours after collection.
  • Utility bill payments: Pay utility bills online at Municipal Online Payments or by phone at 1-866-933-4026. Setting up an account allows you to monitor your consumption.
  • Report repairs or concerns: To report issues such as potholes or damaged signs, please call City Hall during business hours to submit a work order or use the Citizen Engagement tool: Report a Concern.
