Central WV Aging Services travels to Biltmore Estate and Asheville, NC

BUCKHANNON – A local social services organization in Buckhannon recently took a motorcoach trip to the beautiful scenery of the Biltmore Estate and the Asheville, North Carolina area.

Central West Virginia Aging Services serves our state as “a multi-faceted social services organization serving the elderly and disabled population” with a mission to “provide the highest quality, most reliable home care service and daily living solutions for West Virginia residents,” according to their website.

Last month, Central West Virginia Aging Services packed their bags with their eyes set on adventure and making memories in Asheville, NC. Guests departed by motorcoach from Buckhannon Walmart or Weston Kroger on November 6 for a four day, three night trip with many fun activities listed on the itinerary.

This exciting trip included three nights lodging in the breath-taking Asheville area, six delicious meals, a guided tour of Asheville with a full day of exploring the famous Biltmore Estate and the gardens. What many may not know is that the Biltmore Estate is America’s largest privately owned home.

The fun did not end there! The trip also included the a visit to Antler Village & Winery, the magnificent St. Lawrence Basilica, a scenic drive on the Blue Ridge Parkway and a visit to the famous Folk Art Center.
