Wesleyan tennis teams swept by Francis Marion

FLORENCE, S.C. – The West Virginia Wesleyan men’s and women’s tennis teams lost at Francis Marion on Sunday afternoon to finish their weekend trip. The women were defeated 7-0 and the men lost in a close match 4-3.

The Women
The Lady Bobcats took two losses in doubles competition and four in singles play. Cayley Symons and Omolade Aderemi had strong showings but took close losses in their singles matches. Aderemi lost 6-4 and 6-3 while Cayley Symons was defeated 7-5 and 6-4.

The Men
Anthony McIntosh and Andreas Hald Dige were able to pick up a doubles win 6-2 for the Bobcats first victory of the day. Kevin Lin and Jonathan Lindstrand both won their matches by a score of 6-3 and 6-3. Anthony McIntosh was also able to put together a win but Kihiro Karasawa, Emanuel Mallya and Camillo Salvi were handed losses as FMU got out with a 4-3 win.

Up Next For The Bobcats
Both Wesleyan teams head to Mt. Olive on Thursday for match one of three against Carolina schools in three days.
