TENNERTON – The Buckhannon-Upshur junior varsity Buccaneers hosted the Bridgeport Indians Monday night at Freal “Red” Crites Memorial Stadium and dropped a 41-14 decision.
Buckhannon-Upshur head football coach Sloan Baisden said about the game, “We made a run in the second quarter to pull within a couple scores, but Bridgeport pulled away in the second half. We had some costly turnovers in the game. We had a turnover in their redzone but also had a turnover back in our own redzone. Overall, we played hard till the last whistle.”
The JV Bucs, now 1-1, will host Philip Barbour this coming Monday at 6 p.m.
