Davis & Elkins College President Chris A. Wood recently accepted a $1,500 check from GFWC Woman’s Club of Elkins President Donna Jones to support the W.Va. Highlands Scholarship. The funds represent partial proceeds from the annual Woman’s Club Arts & Crafts Show in Martin Field House Memorial Gymnasium during the Mountain State Forest Festival. The gift was made in appreciation of the Woman’s Club’s ongoing relationship with the college.
The W.Va. Highlands Scholarship is a distinctive offering that provides a significant tuition discount to West Virginia students attending public or private schools, as well as those who are homeschooled.
