West Virginia to close Low Income Energy Assistance Program applications Feb. 9 as funds run out

The West Virginia Department of Human Services (DoHS) announced Friday that it will stop accepting applications for the Low Income Energy Assistance Program (LIEAP) at the close of business on Monday, February 9, 2026, due to the exhaustion of regular LIEAP funding.

All applications submitted through the PATH portal by February 9, 2026, as well as mailed applications postmarked on or before that date, will continue to be accepted and processed.
