Wesleyan’s Amy Kittle elected to Title IX association’s advisory board

Amy Kittle, the Title IX coordinator at West Virginia Wesleyan College and Davis & Elkins College, has been elected to the Association of Title IX Administrators Advisory Board.

For four years, Kittle has held the position at both colleges. Wesleyan said in a news release that sharing the role helps smaller rural colleges attract and keep experienced professionals.

“Ensuring safe, equitable, and compliant educational environments has never been more critical. I am excited to collaborate with thought leaders across the country to advance best practices while navigating evolving regulatory landscapes,” Kittle said in the release.

The association, known as ATIXA, brings together school and college professionals who work as Title IX coordinators, investigators and administrators, with the stated goal of advancing sex equality in education.

Fewer than 30% of higher education Title IX coordinators had more than 10 years of experience, according to ATIXA’s 2025 State of the Field Survey results cited in the release.
