Wesleyan swim teams drop dual outing with Notre Dame

BUCKHANNON — The Bobcats’ men’s and women’s swimming teams hosted Notre Dame College, Friday. The men came up short with a 96-55 loss and the women dropped team score totals to the Falcons 128-46.

On the men’s side Marcus Walker placed first in the 200-yard IM with a time of 1:59.79 and was also victorious in the 100-yard breaststroke, posting a time of 57.84. Walker missed the top spot in the 100-yard free, coming in second by .05 seconds to Notre Dame’s Luis Aguilar Delgado (50.27).

Highlighting the Wesleyan women’s effort was Annalise Gentilozzi who posted second-place finishes in both the 100- and 200-yard 50 freestyle events (1:01.29 and 2:14.97, respectively). She finished fourth in the 100-yard rbeaststroke with a time of 1:25.02

The Bobcats travel to Delaware, Ohio for a two-day event beginning Friday, Nov. 17 at the Meek Aquatics and Recreation Center.
