BUCKHANNON, W.Va. — West Virginia Wesleyan College and the West Virginia United Methodist Church Foundation are partnering together to launch a new scholarship program for entering students. 

The scholarship will provide a one-year $1,500 award for an entering freshman student from each of the nine districts in the West Virginia Conference: Northern, Mon Valley, Potomac Highlands, Little Kanawha, Wesleyan, Western, Midland South, Greenbrier, and Southern.

The eligibility requirements include:

  • An entering West Virginia Wesleyan College freshman with demonstrated financial need,
  • A confirmed member of The United Methodist Church, and
  • A minimum high school grade point average of 3.25.

Each candidate must complete a scholarship application.
