Upshur County accepting applications for deputy sheriff positions

The Upshur County Civil Service Commission for Deputy Sheriffs is announcing an open period for the purpose of accepting applications for admission to competitive examinations.  Such examinations shall be part of the criteria used to establish an eligibility list for appointment to entry level positions of Deputy Sheriff.

The date for the physical agility test and written examination is set for Saturday May 2, 2020 at 9:00am.  The location of testing will be given out when application is returned. Applicants must show valid photo identification in order to complete testing.  Applicants must be no less than 18 years of age nor older than 45 years of age per Civil Service guidelines. Salary will be based on experience and certification.
