Tressie Fay Tuttle, age 74, of Buckhannon, WV died Wednesday, January 7, 2026, at St. Joseph’s Hospital Nursing Care Facility.
She was born January 7, 1952, in Philippi, WV, a daughter of the late James and Elsie Overfield Daugherty.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one grandson, Dakota Tuttle; one granddaughter, Whitney Tuttle Reed; two brothers, Don and Jim Daugherty; two sisters, Aggie Saffle and Mae Foreman and one sister-in-law, Wanda Daugherty.
She is survived by two sons, Edward “Matt” Tuttle of Jane Lew, WV and James E. Tuttle and wife Rhonda of Ironton, MO; four granddaughters, Savannah Petrulak and husband Jay of Buckhannon, Linnea Tuttle of Los Angeles, CA, and Kearstin & Jaimi Tuttle both of Ironton, MO; three great-grandchildren; one sister, Shirley Shockey and husband Lloyd; four brothers, Ernie Daugherty and wife Barb, Henry Daugherty and wife Shelia, Bill Daugherty and wife Wilma, and John Daugherty; one brother-in-law, Sonny Foreman; several nieces and nephews, and best friends, Dorothy McCormick and Juanita Frame.
Tressie was a homemaker and enjoyed attending Christian Fellowship Church when she was able. She loved to play bingo andhang out with her friends, who were loving called “The Three Amigos”. Her family was her life and she adored her grandkids.
In honoring Ms. Tuttle’s wishes, she will be cremated. Friends will be received for a A Celebration of Life, Saturday, January 24, 2026, from 12 PM to 2 PM at the Union Community Center located at 30 Burner Road, Philippi, WV and burial will follow in the Pitman Cemetery.
