BUCKHANNON – My Buckhannon is proud to present another season of the Hank Ellis All-Stars. Each week, we will select a male and female athlete at Buckhannon-Upshur who has had an exemplary week on the football field, soccer field, cross country course, volleyball court or golf course.
Our Hank Ellis All-Stars for the weeks of Oct. 7 – Oct. 20 are Timothy Snyder and Samantha Shreve.
Snyder is a senior on the Buccaneer soccer team. He was nearly unstoppable for the Bucs in their final four games of the season. In those games, he tallied seven goals and contributed two assists. He had a hat trick against University and scored the game-tying goal late in a 3-3 deadlock with Grafton.
Shreve is a senior on the Lady Buc cross country team. She added the title of 2024 Big 10 Conference champion to her list of accolades this season after beating 65 other runners in the championship event at Bridgeport. She had a time of 19:11.2, easily winning the race by 27.7 seconds.
Congratulations to Snyder and Shreve as our weekly winners of the Hank Ellis All-Stars honor.
