BUCKHANNON – My Buckhannon is proud to present another season of the Hank Ellis All-Stars. Each week, we will select a male and female athlete at Buckhannon-Upshur who has had an exemplary week on the basketball court, wrestling mat or swimming pool.

Our Hank Ellis All-Stars for the weeks of Dec. 9 – Dec. 15 are Jerin Westfall and Alyssa Abel.

Westfall is a junior guard on the Buccaneer basketball team. In the season debut for the Bucs, Westfall had 20 of B-U’s 44 points in a 44-34 home win over the Philip Barbour Colts. He also added eight rebounds, two assists and two blocks.

Abel is a senior forward on the Lady Buc basketball team. In B-U’s first two games, Abel had a double-double in both games. She had 14 points and 14 rebounds in a 52-45 win over Preston and 15 points and 11 rebounds in a home loss to Lewis County.
