The Rotary Club of Buckhannon-Upshur partnered with WVU Medicine St. Joseph’s Hospital to host a blood drive and food donation drive on Friday, August 15 at the Event Center at Brushy Fork in Buckhannon. The blood drive was managed by Vitalant, the official blood supplier for both St. Joseph’s Hospital and United Hospital Center.

Twenty-nine units of blood were collected exceeding the Hospital’s goal. The donation saw nine first-time donors and the amount of blood collected saved 87 lives.
