BUCKHANNON — My Buckhannon is proud to present another season of the Hank Ellis All-Stars, recognizing Buckhannon-Upshur athletes who have delivered standout performances in football, soccer, cross country, volleyball and golf.
Each week, one male and one female athlete are selected based on their impact, consistency and contributions to their respective teams.
For the week of Oct. 12-18, the Hank Ellis All-Stars are Rylen Carlyle and Kadeen Edwards.
Carlyle, a senior on the Buckhannon-Upshur soccer team, couldn’t have ended her regular season any better as she contributed four goals and two assists in B-U’s 8-3 road victory over Philip Barbour.
Edwards, a freshman tailback for the Buccaneer football team, played a key role in Buckhannon-Upshur’s 62-28 victory over East Fairmont. He rushed for 123 yards and a touchdown, marking his second 100-yard game of the season, and added a 26-yard touchdown reception to finish with two scores on the night.
