Terecia Marie Bonner

Terecia Marie Bonner, age 89, of Buckhannon, WV was welcomed into the presence of her Lord and Savior on Thursday, October 31, 2024, at Stonewall Jackson Memorial Hospital in Lewis County, WV, a daughter of the late Virgil Jennings Bailey and Carrol Alice (Rowan) Bailey.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 67 years, Darrell Ray Bonner; six sisters, Anna (Bailey) Bennett, Frances Irene (Bailey) Peters, Wilda Floe (Bailey) Richard’s, Mazie Madeline (Bailey) England, Rita Joyce (Bailey) Barnett, and one baby sister; four brothers, Arthur Lee Bailey, James Elmer Bailey, Dennis Ervin Bailey, and one baby brother, and one grandson, Elijah Christian Bonner.

She is survived by two sisters, Alice Marguerite (Bailey) Devericks, and Thelma Elizabeth (Bailey) Dietrich; three brothers, Mayford Lynn Bailey and wife Violet (Jenny) Bailey, Meredith (Glen) Bailey and wife Alice (Kay) Bailey, and Gary Dewayne Bailey; three sisters-in-law, Sherry Bailey, Helen Mullens, and Steffie Bonner; one brother-in-law, Dwight Wayne Barnett; two sons, Darrell “Randy” Bonner and wife Leisa, and Douglas M. Bonner and husband Sam Vaughan; one daughter, Barbara Marie (Bonner) Murray and husband Stephen “Jack” Murray; three grandsons, Nathan Bonner and wife Reese, Daniel Bonner, and Michael Bonner and wife Britni; four granddaughters, Ashley (Bonner) Yoder and husband Tim, Morgan (Murray) Hanson and husband Mitchell, Kristen Bonner, and Kara Marie Bonner; eleven great grandchildren, Annabelle Bonner, Daniel Torres, Sloane Bonner, Jace and Isabelle Lane, Xavier Graham, Madelyn and Margaret Hanson, and Declan, Luca, and Riley Yoder.

Marie worked at Buckhannon City Hospital, Upshur County Circuit Clerks office, Upshur County Clerk’s office, and for Thomas L Stockert as a legal secretary. She loved gospel music, her card ministry, reading, games, puzzles, and family reunions. Marie was a member of Tallmansville Baptist Church and the South Buckhannon Mission Church.

The family would like to extend our deepest appreciation to her adored long-time caregiver and friend, Barbara Riffle. We would also like to thank her first-rate team of caregivers who made it possible for her to enjoy her final days at home. Our gratitude also goes out to Home Plus Nurse Nikki and Stonewall Jackson Memorial Hospital for their extremely compassionate care.

Friends will be received Saturday, November 9th, 6-9 pm at Poling-St Clair Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held 2 pm Sunday, November 10th with the Reverend Tim Lewis officiating. The service will also be live streamed on the Poling-St Clair website.
