Tennis ‘Cats drop home clash to Davis & Elkins

BUCKHANNON, W.Va. – The West Virginia Wesleyan men’s tennis team dropped their third consecutive MEC contest Wednesday as they fell to Davis & Elkins 4-3 at home.

Doubles Play
Camillo Salvi and Kevin Lin were victorious 6-2 to start the day off. Kihiro Karasawa and Emmanuel Mallya picked up a doubles win as well 6-3. The team of Anthony McIntosh and Jonathan Lindstrand fell in the last doubles match 6-2.

Singles Play
Karasawa went three sets in his singles match, winning the first set but dropping the next two. Mallya and Salvi won in back-to-back matches but it wouldn’t be enough. The Senators won the last three singles matches to take the 4-3 victory.

Wesleyan is back in action Thursday at home against West Liberty at 4 p.m.
