Stonewall Resort’s “Winter Wanderlust” series begins Jan. 25

Stonewall Resort is kicking off its 2019 Winter Wanderlust event series with unique and fun-filled weekend experiences created to provide the perfect escape from the winter doldrums. The events include: Beer, Bourbon & BBQ: A Taste of the Bayou (Jan. 25), Wine & Jazz Night (Feb. 2) and the Stonewall sigNATURE Craft Beer Debut & Dinner (Feb. 23).

“Whether you’re a foodie who enjoys craft beverages or you’re looking for an out-of-the-norm experience, our Winter Wanderlust events offer something for everyone,” said Andre’ D’ Amour, general manager at Stonewall Resort.

Beer, Bourbon & BBQ: A Taste of the Bayou – January 25

The resort’s award-winning culinary team will showcase a fantastic variety of Cajun and Creole cuisine combined with an expertly curated selection of bourbon and craft beer samples. This year, Big Timber, Parkersburg Brewing, Greenbrier Valley, Mountain State and Elysian breweries will participate.  Country/rock band Hollerwood will provide live entertainment during the event.

Wine & Jazz Night – Feb. 2

Join us lakeside for a spectacular night out full of delectable food, delightful wine and wonderful live jazz music.  This special event starts at 6 p.m. with a welcome glass of rosé. Dinner will begin around 6:30 featuring three courses, each expertly paired with a unique and complimentary wine. As you dine, contemporary jazz band Decon Blues will provide musical entertainment and following dinner, the music will liven up into the night for you to enjoy from your table or from the dance floor!

Stonewall sigNATURE Craft Beer Debut & Dinner – Feb. 23

Stonewall Resort’s culinary team and West Virginia’s own Parkersburg Brewing Company come together to host a four-course beer pairing dinner and the debut of the resort’s sigNATURE Craft Beer lineup! This intimate event begins with a surprise “welcome beer” from Parkersburg Brewing in a souvenir Stonewall snifter glass at 6 p.m., followed by a plated dinner at 6:30 p.m., in which guests will be the first to try the new brews. Resort executive chef Nevil Barr and Parkersburg brew master Dan Curtis will be on hand to guide guests through each course and pairing.
