Stonewall Resort hosting community-focused culinary, dance events in April

Weston, W.Va. – Stonewall Resort is hosting two unique events in April: the “Wild, Wonderful Spring Fling” this Saturday, April 13 and the “80’s Dance Party” on Saturday, April 20.  Both events were developed to provide area residents with a great evening out.

“These are two great events created to showcase the resort’s unique culinary talent while also providing an opportunity for guests to cut loose,” said Andre’ D’ Amour, Stonewall Resort general manager.

The “Wild, Wonderful Spring Fling” is a celebration of the best of Appalachian springtime cuisine and generational family recipes.  Conducted in a dine-around format, the event will feature a variety of dishes, including chef-forged wild spring edibles (morels, chanterelles, ramps) and the main event: a spectacular Beefchetta display.

For those unaccustomed, a Beefchetta is a savory and moist boneless roast inspired by a classic Porchetta. Beefchetta weighs about 70 pounds and includes 11 different cuts of beef that are seasoned, rolled, tied and roasted for about 7 hours. The result is a crowd-pleasing tender outer layer of delectable short ribs encompassing mouthwatering medium rare ribeye steaks and New York Strips.

The evening dine-around celebration also includes spring-infused moonshine cocktail mixology demonstrations and live music by Josh Folmsbee & The Crooked Roots.  To view the menu or for more information, visit www.StonewallResort.com.

The cost for the event is $78 per person and includes dinner, moonshine cocktail, mixology demonstrations and live music.  Overnight packages are also available.

For those interested in something a little wilder, the resort will host an 80’s Dance Party on Saturday, April 20 from 7-11 p.m. Guests will dance the night away to the sounds of the 1980’s, while enjoying all-you-can-eat wings, a taco bar, sliders and Frips.  A cash bar will be available. Guests are encouraged to come dressed in ’80s attire and receive a complimentary drink from the bar.

The cost for the event is $50 per person.  For those interested in staying overnight, the resort is offering a $99 room rate.

Reservations for both events are required, and can be made by contacting the resort at (304) 269-7400 or by visiting www.StonewallResort.com.
