Wesleyan lacrosse downs Greensboro for first win, 5-2

West Virginia Wesleyan earned its first win with a 5–2 road victory over Greensboro, powered by Nyah Elmer’s hat trick and Wiktoria Walska’s two goals. Ella Gomez made eight saves as the Lady Bobcats forced 37 turnovers and held Greensboro to one goal through three quarters.

Wesleyan tennis teams begin spring break play

West Virginia Wesleyan tennis opened spring break with three matches in three days against Belmont Abbey, Catawba and Francis Marion. The Bobcat men edged two 4-3 wins around a road loss, while the women fell 1-6 in all three contests.

Baseball ‘Cats finish 1-3 in Tobs Classic

West Virginia Wesleyan went 1-3 at the Tobs Classic, ending the four-game weekend with a gritty 3-2 win over Georgian Court. The Bobcats dropped two to Clarion and were outslugged by St. Thomas Aquinas, despite big bats from Drew Jrolf and Dylan Neach.

Jerin Westfall and Brody McDaniels powered Buckhannon-Upshur past rival Lewis County 59-54 in the regular-season finale, despite leading for just 52 seconds through three quarters. Westfall posted 26 points and 14 rebounds as the Bucs’ 9-0 fourth-quarter run sealed it.

Wesleyan women earn second seed in MEC Basketball Tournament

West Virginia Wesleyan earned the No. 2 seed for next week’s MEC Women’s Basketball Tournament at WesBanco Arena, finishing 18-6 overall and 15-5 in league play. Regular-season champion Glenville State leads the field, with the 10-team, five-day tournament tipping off March 4.

Basketball ‘Cats end season with 105-90 loss at Davis & Elkins

West Virginia Wesleyan closed the 2025-26 season with a 105-90 loss at Davis & Elkins despite hitting 17 threes and shooting 53.1% from deep. The Bobcats were tied 49-49 at halftime and pulled within 82-80 late, but the Senators’ hot shooting and rebounding surge sealed it.
