This week’s Hank Ellis All-Stars: Lylah Ketterman and Jerin Westfall

My Buckhannon is proud to present another year of the Hank Ellis All-Stars. Each week, we will select a male and female athlete at Buckhannon-Upshur who has had an exemplary week on the basketball court, swimming pool or wrestling mat.

Our Hank Ellis All-Stars for the week of March 2 – March 8 are Lylah Ketterman and Jerin Westfall.

Ketterman is a sophomore on the Lady Buc wrestling team. She was one of three wrestlers to win a state title for B-U. Just a sophomore, she went a perfect 4-0, pinning Kinley Butcher of Ravenswood, Sawyer Robinson of Oak Hill and Kinley Buckley of George Washington in her first three matches to advance to the title match. In her championship match, she pinned Avery Ferguson of Parkersburg South in 1:59 for the title.

Westfall is a senior on the Buccaneer basketball team. In their South Region Tournament contest, Westfall had compiled a triple-double. He had a game-high 31 points, collecting 17 rebounds and dishing out 10 assists.

Congratulations to Ketterman and Westfall as our weekly winners of the Hank Ellis All-Stars honor.
