Soccer Little Bucs wrap up 2021 season

TENNERTON – The Buckhannon-Upshur Middle School Little Buc soccer team wrapped up their 2021 season with a trio of games in which they went 1-2.

They lost a 2-1 decision to Taylor County on Oct. 13 and followed that up with a 2-1 loss to Elkins on Oct. 18.

They concluded their season with a 3-0 shutout win over Robert L. Bland on the road last Tuesday.

Against Taylor County, Dominic Figueroa had the lone B-UMS goal in 50th minute.

The Little Bucs were outshot by a 10-8 margin. B-UMS keeper Michael Tracy made four saves.

In their setback to Elkins, Coby Smith had the B-UMS goal in the 35th minute.

Elkins owned a 12-9 lead in shots.

Tracy and Chase Wayne shared time in the net with Tracy making four saves and Wayne five.

Riel Figueroa had a hat trick for the Little Bucs in their 3-0 finale against Robert L. Bland.

He scored in the 14th, 23rd, and 56th minutes of the game.

B-UMS outshot Robert L. Bland by a 14-9 margin.

The Little Bucs ended their year with a 2-7-2 record.
