Soccer Lady ‘Cats get shutout by No. 20 Concord

BECKLEY, W.Va. — The West Virginia Wesleyan (1-3-1, 1-2-1) women’s soccer team lost on the road to No. 20 Concord (6-0-0, 4-0-0) on Wednesday (Sept. 22) at the YMCA Paul Cline Complex by a 6-0 score.

Leah Foster helped the Mountain Lions strike first with a goal in the 10th minute. Yasmin Mosby scored a goal (43rd minute) in the waning moments of the first half as Concord led 3-0. Mosby scored again during the 46th minute for a 4-0 advantage.

Concord had nine shots on goal compared to no shots on goal for Wesleyan in the 6-0 Mountain Lion victory.

The Lady Bobcats are scheduled to return home to play host to West Virginia State on Sunday (Sept. 26) at 7 p.m.
