Representatives from the Clarksburg VA Hospital will be at American Legion Post 7 on Aug. 2 to discuss travel options

BUCKHANNON — On Tuesday, August 2, Buckhannon’s American Legion Post 7 will host the Clarksburg Veterans Administration’s Travel Office to assist veterans in using the new travel claims procedures.

They will also be providing a presentation about their program to assist veterans in getting to their appointments at the VA Medical Center. The price of gas has caused new challenges and many of our veterans have had to cancel their medical appointments due to a need for wheelchair access as well as lack of transportation. The program is a free service for veterans.

The event will begin at 6 p.m. at the American Legion home located at 16 S Kanawa St. Buckhannon.
