Quilters at Heart Quilt Guild of Buckhannon and American Legion Post 7 members raised $11,000 for the post through the guild’s 2026 charity quilt raffle.
Shelia Clark of Buckhannon won the quilt in the October 8 drawing, according to a release from the guild. Clark’s winning ticket was sold by American Legion member Mike Brown.

Post 7 Commander Mike Wallace drew the winning ticket and received the check at the guild’s October meeting. The guild gave most of the credit for the fundraising success to Legion members who sold raffle tickets.
The guild makes a quilt each year for a raffle benefiting a local charity. Members have already completed the quilt for 2027.
