Patrick Eugene Peck

Patrick Eugene Peck, 43, of Napier, W.Va., passed away Thursday, August 8, 2019 in the Clarksburg Nursing and Rehabilitation Center following an extended illness. Born on May 26, 1976 in Portsmouth, Va., Patrick was the son of Larry Peck and Gail Blagg Stump.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, George and Mildred Blagg; paternal grandfather, Kyle Sines; stepfather, Tom Stump; and his beloved dog, Buddy who was there to greet him.  

Patrick graduated from Buckhannon-Upshur High School class of 1997. He often attended camp Tommy several times at the High School and participated in several events for the Special Olympics.

Patrick is survived by his mother, Gail Blagg Stump of Napier, W.Va.; father, Larry Peck and wife, Marsha, of Buckhannon, W.Va.; brother, Mark Peck and wife, Kelli, of Fort Jackson, Columbia, S.C.; sister, Natasha Ruano and husband, Evilio, of Chantilly, Va.; three nieces: Paige, Roslyn, and Cesca Ruano all of Chantilly, Va.; two nephews: Alden and Brayden Peck of Fort Jackson, Colombia, S.C.; paternal grandmother, Helen Peck of Gaines, WV; paternal step grandparents, Gene and Mary Stump of Buckhannon, W.Va.; several aunts, uncles, and many cousins.

He divided his time not only with mom, but his very own special aunt, Judy Posey and husband, Mike, and Jennifer Murray and Michael Posey who were more like a brother and sister. He loved to hunt, fish, ride four-wheeler and go to work with his Uncle Speedy. He rode in trucks during mud boggs and drove his Uncle Mooney’s boat. Last but not least, he enjoyed playing horseshoes with his family.  He brought laughter and joy to all who knew him. He was a bright shining ray of sunshine and will be sadly missed.

Family and friends will gather at Tomblyn-Clutter Funeral and Cremation located at 21 Elnora Circle in Buckhannon from 4 – 7 p.m. on Monday, August 12, 2019. Funeral Services will be held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, August 13, 2019 in Tomblyn-Clutter Funeral Chapel with Pastor Robert Dean Cole officiating. Interment will follow at Big Ben Cemetery in Sago, W.Va.
