Pallottine Foundation of Buckhannon welcomes Sarah Campbell to health program officer role

BUCKHANNON, W.Va. – The Pallottine Foundation of Buckhannon welcomes Sarah Campbell to the role of health program officer. Campbell will help develop and implement funding strategies and initiatives that support the foundation’s mission in its five-county region.

“Sarah will be a great asset to the Foundation and our partner organizations,” said Janell Ray, CEO of the Pallottine Foundation of Buckhannon. “She has lived in Buckhannon for many years and is well-versed in the community’s needs. We are fortunate to have her join our grantmaking team.”

Campbell previously served as executive director of the Upshur County Senior Citizens’ Opportunity Center. Her experience includes roles as volunteer center coordinator at the Buckhannon Volunteer Center, administrative assistant at New Community Church, and director of Appalachian Impact. Campbell has a master’s in business administration with a nonprofit management focus and a bachelor’s degree in history frm West Virginia Wesleyan College in Buckhannon.

“I have seen firsthand how organizations can positively impact the communities they serve and lead people to live healthier lives,” Campbell said. “I am so excited to have the opportunity to serve on the foundation side of improving our communities and I look forward to my role as health program officer.”

About the Pallottine Foundation of Buckhannon: The Pallottine Foundation of Buckhannon was established with proceeds from the sale of St. Joseph’s Hospital, and continues the legacy established by the Pallottine Missionary Sisters of caring for the spiritual, emotional, and physical health of those in the region. The Foundation focuses its efforts on six primary areas: food insecurity, health & wellness, leadership development, spiritual & pastoral care, substance use disorder, and tobacco use prevention and cessation. Its service area includes Barbour, Lewis, Randolph, Upshur, and Webster counties.
