BUCKHANNON, W.Va. – Richard Owens has resigned as head coach of the West Virginia Wesleyan women’s soccer program, WVWC Athletic Department announced on Thursday.

Owens spent five seasons as head coach of the Lady Bobcats, posting a (44-30-12) record. Under Owens, Wesleyan won a MEC Tournament Championship and earned a NCAA Tournament berth, both happening in 2018.

WVWC athletic director Randy Tenney has announced that a nationwide search for coach Owens replacement will begin immediately.
