BUCKHANNON, W.Va. — Community members may now make secure online donations to support local flood-recovery efforts through the Rotary Club of Buckhannon Upshur Foundation Flood Relief Fund, according to a release from the City of Buckhannon and the Upshur County Commission.
Residents, businesses and supporters from across West Virginia and beyond may contribute through the Foundation’s secure donation portal.
The portal allows donors to make contributions by credit card, designate gifts specifically for Upshur County flood recovery and receive immediate electronic receipts.
The Rotary Club of Buckhannon Upshur Foundation continues to work with the City of Buckhannon, the Upshur County Commission and the Upshur County Department of Homeland Security & Emergency Management to direct funds toward verified local needs, including household recovery assistance, volunteer support and community-level rebuilding initiatives.
“Online donations allow people near and far to support our community quickly and securely. Every contribution—large or small—helps families and neighborhoods move forward in the wake of this disaster,” Rotary Foundation Treasurer Don Nestor said.
Donors may also present checks payable to the Rotary Club of Buckhannon Upshur Foundation at any Citizens Bank of West Virginia location or mail them to Rotary Club of Buckhannon Upshur Foundation, PO Box 2573, Buckhannon, WV 26201.
The Rotary Foundation is one of two official financial-donation channels endorsed by the city and county for flood-relief contributions.
