The Mountain CAP Family Support Center, in collaboration with the North Central EITC Coalition/VITA, will host a free Earned Income Tax Credit event on Friday, January 30 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at 30 East Main Street in Buckhannon.
Free services available at the event include tax assistance by appointment, banking information, credit reports, housing counseling, unclaimed property searches and financial literacy resources.
Persons seeking tax filing assistance must have an appointment and should call (304) 502-3434 to be screened for eligibility and to schedule a time.
