March 19 update from Upshur County Assessor’s Office: Please call first for assistance

Good morning. I want to provide an update from the Upshur County Assessor’s Office.

As of March 19, 2020, we are open.

However, we are asking people to call us first for assistance.

Any services we provide can be completed by phone, email, fax, mail, etc.

If you need documents from us, we will gladly deliver those electronically, by mail, or hand deliver curbside.

DMV Regional Offices have closed to the public, while online services are available.

DMV is granting a 90-day extension on all items set to expire in March or April.

You may also mail tax payments to the Sheriff’s Tax Office. If you aren’t sure how much you owe, call them at 304-472-1180 and they will assist you.

To my knowledge, there has been no extension granted on tax payments, as of today.

We are here to serve and will continue to do so.

We have modified our standard operating procedures to minimize exposure while continuing to serve. This is a moving target. Things are changing daily. I will provide a daily update from the Upshur County Assessor’s Office.

You may reach us via telephone at 304-472-4650 or by email at dwzickefoose@upshurcounty.org
