Lorene Ellenore Hardman

Lorene Ellenore Hardman, 99, former resident of Glenville and Buckhannon, died Sunday, August 16, 2020, at the Clarksburg Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

She was born on February 14, 1921, in Ritchie County, a daughter of the late Creed and Rozenia McGill Britton.

On December 29, 1946, she was united in marriage to Rex F. Hardman, who preceded her in death on March 10, 2012.

She is survived by one daughter Shirley and husband Rodger Lundell (Lorene’s “favorite son-in-law”) of Buckhannon; three grandsons:  Brian Lundell and wife Icle, Eric Lundell and wife Sandy, and Rex Lundell; three great grandchildren: Abigail Naughton, Vincent Lundell, and Evelyn Lundell; and one step great grandchild, Jaiden Lundell.

Mrs. Hardman was a member of the Glenville First Baptist Church and was a talented oil painter and ceramic artist.  She was a skilled Bridge player and enjoyed spending many winters in Florida playing golf with her husband Rex. Lorene was the center and nucleus of her family — the glue that held it together, and she will be sorely missed.

The family will receive friends on Friday, August 21, 2020, from 5-7 p.m., at the Heavner and Cutright Funeral Chapel in Buckhannon. The funeral will be held at the Glenville First Baptist Church on Saturday, August 22, 2020, at 10 a.m., with Pastor Larry Fleming officiating. Interment will follow in the Meadow Lane Cemetery at Glenville.

Online condolences may be extended to the family at www.heavnerandcutright.com. The family entrusted the Heavner and Cutright Funeral Chapel with the arrangements.
