Local artist offering free portraits for Buckhannon-Upshur High School seniors

Local artist and coach Levi Bender is putting together a project to celebrate the journey of Buckhannon-Upshur High School seniors through these difficult times by offering free portraits on a variety of canvas formats.

The program is presented with financial assistance from the West Virginia Department of Arts, Culture, and History and the National Endowment for the Arts, with approval from the West Virginia Commission on the Arts.

The goal is to highlight students who have represented our community and school with pride, humility and character by participating in extra­curriculars such as athletics, band and clubs.

Due to the funding award, the project is completely free of charge. All that is needed is an image or two and your choice of canvas. Please email images to bendersartworks@gmail.com.

Images should be:

  • Can be a still posed portrait
  • Jpeg format
  • You can send multiple but please specify which is your first choice.
