BUCKHANNON – Tateep Unique Boutique will be having their Holiday Open House through this Saturday.

Lisa Hulver owner of Tateep Unique Boutique said her shop will be offering several deals this week to kick off the holiday season.

“The deals that I have going on right now, and they may change when it gets closer to the end of the week, but right now my jewelry, handbags, outerwear, tops and bottoms are 10 percent off, Christmas decor is 5 percent off, I have select Simply Southern that is 20 to 30 percent off and all my fall decor is 50 percent off, and as long as they make a purchase, your name goes in the drawing for door prizes,” Hulver said.

The shop will be open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday and from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday.

“I also carry a lot of handbags – I have Vera Bradley, Coach, 31, and those are the three big ones right now that I have in the one department, and they’ve been selling really well,” Hulver said.

She said the shop carries several local artists’ work that she can hardly keep on shelves.

“I’m still carrying a lot of products from my local vendors or, my local artists, I still carry Meeka, Jonnie’s Designs, I’m doing Tessa’s Designs and I also have Diane’s Dangles,” Hulver said.

Tateep also carries brands such as Simply Southern, Coco Carmen/Mountain Mama.

“I carry Simply Southern, Coco Carmen/Mountain Mama and they have leggings, tunic tops, tunic dresses,” Hulver said. “I’ve been carrying the custom-made T-shirts, and the business is called Made LLC; they’re bleached and then you choose some really, really fabulous prints on the front of them.”

Hulver said she would encourage customers to shop at Tateep because she has a wide selection of items and they would be supporting a small, local business.

“I have a unique variety of merchandise in the shop and they are really good prices,” Hulver said. “I’ve learned a lot over the past three years, and I feel like I’m being a wiser shopper when I’m looking for product, so I can give my customers the best prices possible on the merchandise they buy at the shop.”

Tateep’s deals from the open house will be similar or the same for Black Friday and Small Business Saturday.

“Every year I have my holiday open house this week and then, of course, for Black Friday and that Saturday, I’ll running specials both of those days,” Hulver said. “We’ll just go with the same deals I’ve got right now and then I haven’t even thought about what my deals will be available for Small Business Saturday, but I will definitely be having some kind of a great event going on that day.”

It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas inside Tateep Unique Boutique.

Located at 7 E. Main St., Tateep Unique Boutique features an eclectic twist of clothing, jewelry, essential oils, gifts, handbags, art by local artisans and more.
