TENNERTON – Just two players scored for the Buckhannon-Upshur junior varsity Lady Bucs in a 34-15 home setback to the Elkins Tigers Tuesday evening.
Casadie Lahman had eight points and Brooklyn Smith tacked on seven for B-U as that was it for their scoring.
The JV Lady Bucs lost the first quarter by an 11-6 margin with Smith scoring four points and Lahman two.
Buckhannon-Upshur didn’t score in the second quarter and trailed at the break by a 20-6 score.
Smith and Lahman each fired in a three-pointer in the third quarter which went to Elkins by a 9-6 margin.
That left the JV Lady Bucs down by a 29-12 score.
A three-pointer by Lahman in the fourth quarter was it for B-U scoring which Elkins won by a 5-3 score.
Addyson Cogar had a game-high 14 points for Elkins.
The loss dropped the junior varsity Lady Bucs to 4-10 on the year.
They will be back in action Thursday at Grafton. The game will start at 5:45 p.m.
